Fire Battled At Towamencin Home Wednesday

TOWAMENCIN, PA — A fire broke out at a home in Towamencin Wednesday morning.

The incident began shortly after 10 a.m. on Stratton Drive near the intersection with Liberty Bell Drive.

Scanner reports indicated that a neighbor reported an "explosion."

Heavy smoke was visible throughout the area as the blaze was attacked.

The fire heavily damaged large portions of the roof and rear of a home.

It appeared to be largely extinguished by 11:45 a.m.

Fire departments from around the North Penn area were called to the scene.

The cause is not yet known.

No injuries have been reported.
