Five Points Intersection To Shut Down Overnight Later In July

More work on the key Montgomery Township juncture is planned this month.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Another round of overnight roadwork will back up the Five Points Intersection in Montgomery Township this this month, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced. It's part of an ongoing $14.6 million intersection improvement project.

Work will begin Tuesday, July 28 and continue through Thursday, July 30, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each morning.

Crews will be completing milling and final paving of the roadways, and the full intersection will be shut down to traffic.

The Five Points intersection brings together Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), Route 463 (Horsham Road/Cowpath Road), and Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road).

Detour routes will be posted on roads surrounding the intersection.
