Lansdale Police Add Full Time Mental Health Co-Responder

She will provide real-time behavioral health intervention, crisis de-escalation, and more.

LANSDALE, PA — Lansdale police have added a new full time mental health co-responder to their staff, they announced Wednesday.

Alexis Moyer has been working on a part-time basis with the borough's force since Sept. 2023 through a unique partnership with Merakey Behavioral Health. Moving to a full time position is a reflection of the department's prioritization of the services she provides.

"Alexis has proven to be an incredible asset to our department and the community we serve," police Chief Ryan Devlin said in a statement.. "Her compassion, and dedication have strengthened our ability to respond to individuals in crisis and connect them with the help they need. We are excited to officially welcome her as a member of the Lansdale Borough Police Department."

Moyer will continue to work alongside officers to real-time behavioral health intervention, crisis de-escalation, and other support services.

She also performs follow-ups with individuals after incidents with police, a strategy which helps reduce repeat calls for service by connecting residents to needed resources.

Partners include organizations like Manna on Main Street and Access Services, along with North Penn School District and numerous Montgomery County agencies
