Montco Travel Scammers Defrauded Victims Of Thousands Of Dollars: Officials
Victims say that they paid up to $17,000 for plane tickets and related services they never received, according to a report.
SOUDERTON, PA — Another person has been arrested in a Montgomery County-based scam that defrauded victims of thousands of dollars by selling them travel agency services that they never provided, according to authorities and media reports.
Hien Thanh Nguyen, of Souderton, has been charged with theft by deceptions, deceptive business practices, and related counts, court documents show. Her son, William Nguyen, is also facing related counts.
6ABC reports the scams targeted many residents in the Vietnamese community. The outlet interviewed victims who had lost hope of ever recouping massive investments they made with the Nguyens.

Hien Thanh Nguyen will appear in Montgomery County court for a preliminary hearing next week.
