State Police Conduct Speeding Crackdown In Lansdale Area, 17 Vehicles Stopped

LANSDALE, PA — State police and Lansdale police conducted a crackdown on speeding and dangerous driving around the area on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The operation led to 17 vehicle stops, with a high speed of 47 miles per hour recorded in a 25 mile per hour zone.

Police did not say how many tickets were issued out of those stops.

"Speeding at these levels puts everyone at risk, drivers, passengers, and pedestrians alike," Lansdale police shared. "Enforcement like this is not about tickets, it’s about keeping our community and our roads safe."

Authorities say they hope the enforcement and future efforts to remain visible in targeted areas will reduce crashes and dangerous driving habits.
