4 Bristol Twp. Schools Receive National Recognition

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — They led the way and now students from four township schools are receiving national accolades.

Harry S. Truman High School and Brookwood, Keystone, Mill Creek elementary schools are part of a national community of PreK-12 schools, higher education institutions, and more than 100 industry partners working to prepare students for school, work and life.

The schools were recently recognized as 2025-26 Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Distinguished schools.

PLTW is a national nonprofit organization that creates transformative learning experiences and empowers students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills for future careers.

The high school earned the designation for the third year in a row for its PLTW Biomedical Science, Computer Science, and Engineering.

For the third straight year, Truman met multiple criteria in the 2024-25 school year, such as the number of PLTW course offerings, the percentage of students enrolled in PLTW, and the percentage of students taking more than one course.

Meanwhile, Brookwood, Keystone and Mill Creek elementary schools are recognized for PLTW Launch, an elementary STEAM curriculum.

At the elementary level, the schools had to have more than 75 percent of the student body participating and offer at least one PLTW Launch module at each grade level during the 2024-25 school year.
