Bristol Township Prepares For New School Year

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bristol Township School District will be one of the last in Bucks County to open its doors when students return to classes on Tuesday.

The Bristol Township and Bristol Borough school districts will open the 2026-2027 school year the day after the three-day Labor Day holiday weekend, traditionally when most school districts would begin the new year.

Bristol Township Schools Superintendent Michael Nitti sent an email to the school community talking about the year ahead.

"I am excited about the new school year, welcoming back students and staff, and the potential for achievement that awaits all the children coming back to their classrooms," Nitti said. "The beginning of a new school year is always a special time. It is a wonderful feeling to see our students returning to their schools, and I am excited to see the many things they will accomplish this year in academics, activities, the arts, and athletics."

Nitti said the challenges and goals for staff is for every student to "have a beneficial and rewarding learning experience in a positive and supportive educational environment."

Nitti said it is important for the school community to be connected to what's going on in the classrooms, and that parents and guardians should attend Back to School Nights.

"As educators, it is our goal to be accessible and available to the community we serve, and showcase all the great things taking place in our schools," Nitti said.
