Historic Langhorne Hotel Changes Ownership

LANGHORNE BOROUGH, PA — Just days after its longtime owners ended operations after 54 years, the historic Langhorne Hotel is in new hands.

Joe and Megan Kontz have announced a new chapter one of the borough's most cherished landmarks.

The couple has acquired the historic hotel with a commitment "to honoring its remarkable past while thoughtfully restoring it for future generations."

The hotel is one of Bucks County’s oldest continuously operating inns, with roots dating back to 1704.

"Our vision is simple: Preserve what makes the Langhorne Hotel special while investing in its future," the new owners said in a press release.

Over the coming months, the property will undergo extensive renovations designed to restore its historic character while introducing the comfort, quality, and experience today's guests expect, its new owners said.

"Every decision will be guided by a deep respect for the building's heritage and the community that has supported it for generations," the owners said. "Our goal is not simply to renovate a building, but to breathe new life into a local landmark; creating a place where history is experienced rather than remembered."

For decades, the Langhorne Hotel has been more than a building; it has been a gathering place where neighbors became friends, families celebrated milestones, and visitors experienced the unique charm and hospitality that define Langhorne. Its history is woven into the story of the community itself.

The Asta family, the hotel's longtime owners, held a goodbye party on Sunda to thank the community for continued patronage.

"As we look ahead, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to those who have helped preserve this landmark through the years," the new owners said. "We are especially grateful to Tom, Ben, Theresa, and Tammy Asta for their dedication, stewardship, and care of the Langhorne Hotel.
