Middletown Township Becomes Birdtown

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Go Birds!

While many residents may root for the Philadelphia Eagles, the township now supports all species of birds.

The township recently officially became a bird town.

"We're excited to spread our wings as a Birdtown," officials said.The township is the latest of communities in Bucks County and the Philadelphia region to become a designated Bird Town Pennsylvania.

The Bird Town program brings residents and municipalities together to support birds, wildlife, and healthy habits through conservation, education, and community involvement.

Officials said the designation continues the township's commitment to protecting the natural environment and creating a "healthier, more sustainable community" for residents and wildlife.
