Full Siren Test Coming Up At Limerick Generating Station
The semi annual testing of the alarm klaxons will resound for a 10 mile radius.

LIMERICK, PA — The semi-annual siren testing around the Limerick Generating Station will be held on Monday, June 1.
The full volume test will have sirens go off for about three minutes in a 10-mile radius surrounding the plant, starting at 2 p.m. Sirens are located throughout Montgomery, Chester, and Berks counties.
The sirens are part of a planned exercise held twice a year, and there is no cause for concern. Another round of full siren testing is held in December, while briefer "growl" tests are held monthly.

Should there be an actual emergency, the sirens are not meant to signal panic or evacuation, but rather a notice to pay attention to local announcements.
