Lower Moreland Schools Close Out First Week Without Mask Mandate

Opinion seems to vary on whether or not masks should be mandatory, or by choice, in Lower Moreland Township schools. They're now optional.

LOWER MORELAND, PA — Local schools in the community for the first time in a while went mask-optional this week, a move that seemed to garner mixed reaction among parents.

The Lower Moreland Township Board of School Directors recently voted to eliminate a universal face mask mandate for students, staff and visitors, a move that could change in the future should COVID-19 transmission rates once again begin to rise.

CBS 3 Philadelphia recently reported from the district, where they spoke to parents who were for, and against, the move to drop the mask mandate.
