Missing Man Who May Be Suicidal Sought In Montco: Police
Police say that Stephen Zborowsky is missing and has allegedly threatened suicide. He had been charged in a domestic incident recently.

LOWER MORELAND, PA — Local police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who they say may be suicidal.
Lower Moreland investigators say that Stephen Zborowsky had expressed suicidal thoughts to his brother recently, specifically stating that he allegedly intended to kill himself by jumping off of a bolder at Lorimer Park in neighboring Abington Township, according to a police report.
Zborowsky was arrested earlier this month on charges in connection with a domestic incident against his wife, and he had since temporarily moved in with his brother in Philadelphia, according to police.

The family has been concerned over this past week since Zborowsky was last week on Sunday and previously told his brother of his apparent suicidal ideation, police stated.
In addition to the threat about jumping to his death at the park, Zborowsky allegedly told his mother that he considered buying a rifle and shooting himself while inside his vehicle, police stated.

Lower Moreland officers say they investigated an abandoned car at a cemetery at 101 Byberry Road this Tuesday at just before 11 in the morning, and the vehicle was discovered to be registered to Zborowsky.
Police found and seized Zborowsky's cellphone from the vehicle.
Law enforcement conducted a search of the cemetery using bloodhound dogs and drones, but came up empty, Lower Moreland Police stated.
Officer say they found a child gun lock inside the vehicle, but it is not believed that Zborowsky owns any firearms, and recent records checks showed he had not attempted to make any gun purchases.
Nearby Abington Township Police were also told of the incident and about the alleged threat made by Zborowsky regarding the suicidal plan at Lorimer Park.
Anyone with information about Zborowsky's whereabouts is asked to contact Lower Moreland Police Detective Holly Halota at 215-947-3132 or through email at hhalota@lowermoreland.org.
Records from Magisterial District Court show that Zborowsky, 53, of Willow Grove, was arrested on Aug. 6 by the Upper Moreland Township Police Department and charged with a misdemeanor count of simple assault and a summary charge of harassment.
A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for Sept. 12.
