Saquon Barkley's Main Line Home Burglarized

MALVERN, PA — The Malvern home of Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was burglarized over the weekend, according to police.

Officers responded around 5:10 a.m. Saturday to the residence for a burglary in progress and arrived to find the invaders had fled, police said, adding that Barkley and his family were unharmed.

“We are incredibly grateful that the Barkley family was not injured during this incident,” the Chester County District Attorney’s Office said in a social media post. “We are asking the public to help us identify those responsible by checking any home security cameras for suspicious activity in the area around 5:00 a.m.”

The family was home at the time and one invader entered the residence, NBC 10 Philadelphia reported, adding nothing was believed to have been stolen.

Tredyffrin Township police told NBC 10 that local authorities were collaborating with federal and other law enforcement to investigate if the burglary was connected to similar break-ins targeting professional athletes nationwide.

"We will look at all angles of this because we know, obviously, it's been all over the news in the past few years about different professional athletes' homes getting burglarized," Capt. Tyler Moyer told the outlet.

Police also shared an image of a white sport utility vehicle they think may be involved in the incident. NBC 10 reported that police believe multiple vehicles were involved.
