Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting

Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting in Chadds Ford is having their annual OPEN HOUSE with a tour of the grounds, Camp History Museum, and a few camp cottages from 1 to 4.&nbsp;Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting is a non-profit Christ-centered association with programs that begin with a Spring Tea in May and end with a Worship Service on August 9th.&nbsp; With continuous service since its founding in 1866, it is one of the oldest Camp Meetings in the United States. Historian Bill Troppman will be speaking in honor of the celebration of America's 250th Anniversary in the open-air Tabernacle at 3:00.&nbsp; Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting is a non-profit Christ-centered association with programs that begin with a Spring Tea in May and end with a Worship Service on August 9th.&nbsp; With continuous service since its founding in 1866, it is one of the oldest Camp Meetings in the United States.&nbsp; The Open House begins the season of programming with speakers, musical groups, Bible Study, prayer, and Revival, culminating in a traditional Walk Around on August 8th.&nbsp; All are welcome;&nbsp; most events are FREE, and offerings are accepted.&nbsp;&nbsp;

DelcoBilly is a bar-hopping throwback cover band, focused on re-igniting love for music of the 50's. If the song couldn't fit on a 45, they don't play it. Drawing from the Sun records era, performers such as Cash, Orbison, Holly, Vincent, Cochran, Perkins, with a little bit of a modern 'Delco' edge. This music features dance-able tempos, fiery guitar solos, songs about cars, songs about love, and love songs about cars.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Sludge is a doom/sludge metal band based out of Delco, we are a loud and heavy 4 piece band that puts on a great show!&nbsp;

Featured events are Massey House with tours and living history demonstrations, 1742 Square Tavern with tours and live performances inside where it happened,&nbsp; at 12:30 and 2pm as patrons in 1776 learn of the signing for Independence. Paper Mill House will offer basket weaving workshop and sale, Live Music with the Time Travelers, Container Meadow Garden and Birdtown Exhibit, Art Exhibit and refreshments. Bartram Covered Bridge invites the public to sail their model boat on the Crum Creek with prizes for the most seaworthy. Octagonal School offers 1800's school experience. All sites offer tours, St Davids Church, St. Albans Episcopal Church, Friends Meeting House, Newtown Train and Trolley Museum, Hayti Cemetery, and Stoney Lonesome private residence in Marple.&nbsp; Free.&nbsp;

St. George’s will
host a music camp that will include colleagues and friends from some of the
finest music schools on the East Coast. This is a tremendous and rare
opportunity for youth to make music, worship, and have fun while learning the
liturgy and music of the Holy Eucharist with very gifted artists and teachers.
