Bucks County Burger Named One Of The Best In The Nation

NEW HOPE, PA — A burger made right here in Bucks County has been named one of the nation's best by "Time Out," a global online guide to the best food and drink around the world.

In an online article, "The Best Burgers in America to sink your teeth into," writer Olee Fowler singles out 20 eateries nationwide, including the Burgerly at 137 South Main Street in New Hope, as having the best burgers in the nation.

"The hamburger is easily America's most debated food. Every city claims the best, every neighborhood defends a local staple and someone will always insist the ultimate burger is at a place you just haven't tried yet," writes Fowler. "If you love a good burger, these are the ones you need to know."

Her list includes burgers from across the nation, but only one from right here in Bucks County.

Writes Fowler of the Burgerly's namesake burger, "The burger is a brisket-chuck-short-rib blend, seasoned with salt only to let the three cuts carry the flavor, on a brioche bun with extra-sharp American cheese, savory onions, house sweet pickles, and house burger sauce. Every sauce is made by hand."

"The Burgerly" is one of the eatery's "signature three," which also includes "The Wonderful" and "Chicken Flew Southwest."

"The Wonderful" features a dressed patty with savory onions, special burger mop, Havarti, tomato and greens, 'mazin mushrooms, house Canadian bacon, sweet onion aioli, spicy Bootstrap BBQ, house pickle, and a brioche bun.

The "Chicken Flew Southwest" is made with a fried marinated chicken breast, spicy serrano pepper honey ranch, muenster cheese, micro cilantro, pickled onions, house pickle, fresh tomato, avocado salsa and brioche bun.

In a Facebook posting, owner Zach Glover said they are "honored to be named one of America’s Best Burgers by Time Out. Since opening our doors in 2020, Chef Mark and the team have been committed to doing things the right way. Every burger is made with quality ingredients and without cutting corners."

He added, "To our Bucks County locals and everyone who’s stopped by while visiting, thank you for your incredible support. This recognition wouldn’t be possible without you."

The chef-driven burger destination is owned and operated by Zach Glover and Chef Mark McLean.
