Bucks County-Based Preschool Launches Lifetime College Fund Initiative

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bucks County-based Discovery Preschools in Newtown and Warrington have introduced a college contribution initiative for children who begin their educational journey full-time in its infant program and graduate through Pre-K.

At last month’s graduation ceremony, CEO and Founder Amanda Sinkler announced that any student enrolled full-time from 12 weeks of age through Pre-K graduation will receive a $1,000 college fund contribution.

The first Discovery location opened in 2020 as a preschool program in Newtown Township and quickly expanded to include an infant program in 2021 after seeing strong demand from families seeking a consistent, high-quality experience from the very beginning.

This year marks the first time students could have attended the school from infancy through Pre-K graduation.

“This is about continuing what we started,” said Amanda Sinkler, CEO and Founder. “Families trusted us with their children at 12 weeks old. Supporting them beyond preschool felt like the natural next step.”

The initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to lifelong learning and its core focus on building strong educational foundations from the earliest stages.

Four students from this year’s graduating class were recognized as the first scholarship recipients, having been enrolled full-time and attending since just 12 weeks old.

Based on current enrollment, The Discovery Preschools expects to award approximately 20 scholarships
to qualifying graduates next year.

Jim Worthington, Bucks County entrepreneur and owner of Newtown Athletic Club, has played a key role in supporting the growth and vision of the schools. Known for partnering with entrepreneurs, Worthington has helped provide the resources needed to support his business partner, Amanda Sinkler, as she created the concept, brought it to life, and expanded
its reach throughout the community.

The college fund initiative will be implemented across all Discovery Preschool locations, including Warrington, with plans to expand into the brand’s third Newtown location, projected to open in 2028.

Today, The Discovery Preschools serve more than 600 families throughout Bucks County, continuing to raise the standard for early childhood education while investing in students far beyond the classroom.
