“Our most popular flavor is caramel corn,” said Richard. “The way we make ours is a lot lighter than most. It’s not just that heavy coated popcorn.

"People also like our white cheddar selection. We melt real cheddar cheese so you get that nice cheese flavor,” he said. “Another flavor people love is Just Like A Pickle. If you’re a pickle lover, that’s one you have to try.”

For the kids, the popular flavors are Cinnamon Crunch and Cookie Explosion. Cotton Candy also makes the list.

“Everything is made in house. We don’t get anything shipped or pre-made. Everything is fresh here,” said Richard.

If you’re unsure which flavor to pick, the store offers unlimited sample cups to help customers decide which they want to take home.

The popcorn is sold by the bag - small, medium and large - and also by the tub or tin, which can hold up to three different flavors. Anyone who purchase a tub or tin is enrolled in the store’s loyalty program.

Loyalty members get a discounted price on tin and tub refills. They also get to ring the Clusters bell, allowing them to skip the line.

The opening of the shop earlier this spring is a dream come true for the couple, who fell in love with the local brand and began discussions with the franchise creator two years ago to open their own store.

“My wife is a popcorn lover. That’s her favorite snack. We were constantly going to the Peddler’s Village store,” said Richard.

“It basically came down to location. We definitely wanted to be in Newtown or Princeton. When we found out that Bobby Chez was retiring, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to open up in Newtown.”

In 2021, Bucks County natives Linda and Jules Sghiatti opened the first Clusters in their hometown of New Hope. Today, In addition to its Bucks County stores, Clusters has locations in Bethlehem, King of Prussia, Jackson and Wildwood, New Jersey.
