Newtown Artesian Water Co. Warns Customers Of Fraudulent Robocalls

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Artesian Water Company is warning customers to ignore fraudulent robocalls directing them to pay by calling 1-800-213-0432.

“These calls were not made by Newtown Artesian Water Company and are a scam. Please do not call 1-800-213-0432 or make any payments in response to these calls,” the company posted.

“We take the security of our customers very seriously. Upon discovering this incident, we immediately took action to stop the compromise and have notified local law enforcement and state and federal authorities,” the company said.

Anyone who has already made a payment in response to these calls, should do the following:

• Contact your bank or credit card company immediately to report the fraudulent transaction.
• File a complaint with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov
• File a complaint with the FBI at ic3.gov
