Newtown Restaurant Unveils Locally-Sourced Menu

Mouth-watering offerings range from shared plates and smash burgers to New York Strip, Salmon Oscar, and Day Boat Fish and Chips.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Temperance House on South State Street this week unveiled a new menu curated by Chef William Porras.

The new menu features a variety of flavors and offerings rooted in quality ingredients and showcasing fresh, locally sourced products from Bucks County, Lancaster, and many more.

"All dishes are perfectly handpicked to blend classic favorites with new, unique flavor profiles," said the chef. "From shareable plates and fresh seafood to delicious smash burgers and salads, there is certainly an offering for every guest to enjoy."

Menu highlights include the Ice Box, a shared plate of chilled jumbo shrimp cocktail, Jersey oysters, colossal crab salad, yuzu kosho cocktail sauce, lemon, and horseradish root.

Shared plate offerings include wings, Thai curry mussels, cheesesteak spring roll, shishito pepper hummus, beer-battered onion rings, summer salad, and Caesar salad.

And an extensive entrees menu features prime New York strip, eggplant milanese, day boat fish and chips, truffle ricotta agnolotti, colossal crab cakes, salmon Oscar, roasted red pepper cavatelli, and chicken parmesan.

"Join us at The Temperance House to experience this new chapter filled with a combination of innovative flavor and culinary tradition," the restaurant posted on Facebook.
