Owowcow Partners With TV Series To Launch New Ice Cream Flavor At The Grange
The new flavor was developed in collaboration with the producers of "Perfect Sundays," shot locally in Bucks County last year.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA - Owowcow is partnering with the producers of "Perfect Sundays" to launch an original ice cream flavor at this year’s Middletown Grange Fair and at its stores across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The new flavor - “The Perfect Sunday” - was developed in collaboration with the producers of the six-episode TV series shot locally in Bucks County, including at the Grange Fair, last year
When the "Perfect Sundays" creative team, led by Sam Goldberg and Rupa Mehta, decided to produce their six-episode independent TV series near their home in Bucks County, they knew there needed to be a strong ice cream component to the marketing and distribution of the series.

The story, after all, is about a struggling dairy farm that starts a value-add ice cream business to rescue the multigenerational operation from bankruptcy.
Little did Goldberg and Mehta know that the partner they hoped for was just a few miles away at their kids’ favorite ice cream shop, Owowcow, in Ottsville.

Before production began last summer, Mehta, the co-creator and producer of the show, approached John Fezzuoglio and Shira Wade of Owowcow about the project. Before they knew it, everyone decided that the best path forward was to create an original flavor inspired by the lead character’s passion for ice cream.
Mehta worked alongside Wade and her team to create the flavor they dub “The Perfect Sunday” featuring Madagascar
vanilla, candied walnuts, a chocolate swirl, and their signature strawberry on top.
Last summer, Owowcow did a limited release of the flavor to amazing feedback, and this week they are launching the flavor at the Middletown Grange Fair and will be rolling it out at all five of its shops across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
“The Owowcow team stands behind their local community,” says Mehta. “They source ingredients locally, and they support farmers day in and day out. Working with them has felt so natural because we are so ethically aligned. It’s a dreamy partnership, one filled with the most incredible ice cream!”

“Rupa and Sam are New York City transplants who want to ‘walk the walk’ of building a bridge between urban and rural America,” says Wade. “We so relate to them and to their incredible TV series, which artfully tells a story all-too-real to American farmers. This partnership felt organic and impactful from the beginning. Together, we feel we can make a real dent in the current epidemic of bankruptcies in modern agriculture.”
Perfect Sundays and Owowcow are allocating a portion of their “The Perfect Sunday” profits to help support local farmers. And as a result of their unique partnership, Carpigiani, the world’s most reputable ice cream equipment manufacturer, also came aboard to provide business and ice cream-making expertise to farmers wanting to start their own frozen dessert businesses.
At a time of evident desperation for family farms nationwide, this bold partnership provides a specific, achievable path towards farms not only surviving but thriving in today’s challenging agricultural economy.
Farms that diversify beyond wholesale milk sales have a much better chance of passing the operation, and its beloved land, down to the next generation. That theme is at the heart of the TV series, and the team behind the story and its ice cream partners are determined to make it happen.
"Perfect Sundays" will launch on September 1 through community screenings and digital streaming, which are available now at perfectsundaystv.com. “The Perfect Sunday" flavor will launch in stores this month.
Since 2009, Owowcow has been hand-crafting super-premium ice cream from scratch using local organic and natural ingredients that support local agriculture.
Its ice cream cases hold 24 flavors of ice cream, including 12 signature core flavors that the creamery makes year-round at all stores. The other spots are filled with monthly specials and seasonal favorites, along with dairy-free sorbet and vegan ice cream.
Owowcow has locations in Wrightstown, Chalfont, Ottsville, and Easton in Pennsylvania, and Lambertville, New Jersey.
