Free Sun And Fun Festival To Kick Off Summer Season In Northampton

The free June 5 event at the Basin will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, family activities and lots more.

RICHBORO, PA — Northampton Township will host a Sun and Fun Festival on Friday, June 5, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Basin at the Northampton Township Recreation Complex on Newtown-Richboro Road. The event is presented by the Parks and Recreation Department and is free to the public.

The festival will kick off the summer season while celebrating America’s 250th Birthday with an evening centered on food, music and community activities.

“The Northampton Township community knows how to kick off summer in style," said organizers. “Join us as we celebrate the start of summer and America’s 250th Birthday with an unforgettable evening of fun, food, music, and community spirit!”

The lineup includes live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, crafters and children’s activities. Other attractions include pony rides, a face painter, Broad Street Brewing and Triple Sun Distillery. Attendees can also expect “live entertainment, delicious eats from food trucks, beer and distillery trucks, local shopping from vendors, games, and plenty of laughter with friends and neighbors.”

A children’s performance is scheduled first. "Go with YOYO" is set for an interactive children’s concert at 6 p.m. The main entertainer, DEVLIN, is scheduled to take the stage at 7 p.m., according to the posted schedule.

“Bring your lawn chairs, bring your family, and get ready for a night filled with stars, stripes, and summer nights. This is one celebration you will not want to miss!”

The Sun and Fun Festival is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue through 9:30 p.m. on June 5 at the Basin. Admission is free, according to the Northampton Township Parks and Recreation Department.
