Dana Bala will discuss some of the most lethal fashion practices in history, including arsenic in clothing, blazing crinolines, and lead in cosmetics. This talk will be focusing on the Victorian and Edwardian periods, when people were "dressed to kill". She will bring subject appropriate books for visitors to peruse and enjoy.
