Montco Child Charged With Arson After Burning American Flags: Police
Numerous incidents occurred across the area.
PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP, PA — A child in Montgomery County has been charged with arson after authorities said he set several American flags on fire earlier this month.
The boy was also charged with criminal mischief, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The first occurred near the 100 block of Equestrian Lane in Perkiomen Township Monday morning. A short time later, a similar incident was reported on the 400 bloc of Glendale Road.

The flags were burned as they flew outside the homes.
A description of the child and his getaway car, a gray Buick sedan, were circulated to officers throughout the area.

A series of tips led officers to a nearby yard where they found the boy walking with a face mask on, authorities said. He was arrested without further incident.
The investigation revealed fires were discovered in the Fox Heath, Greenshire Estates, and Cranberry Estates neighborhoods, state troopers said.
The child's specific age and further information on him were not released by authorities. His motive also remains unclear.
