5 Wanted For Gunpoint Rape, Robbery In Philadelphia: Police

The group broke into a building and sexually assaulted the victims at gunpoint before escaping through the roof, authorities said.

PHILADELPHIA — Five people are wanted for breaking into a Philadelphia building Saturday before robbing and sexually assaulting multiple victims at gunpoint, police said.

A sixth suspect was arrested at the scene.

Several males forced their way into the building at 4:40 a.m. on the 400 block of North 9th Street in the Callowhill neighborhood, officials said.

The group then robbed and sexually assaulted multiple victims at gunpoint, police said. They fled through the roof before officers arrived.

One suspect — Saidakhmad Bakiev, 18, of Philadelphia — was arrested on the roof. But five others got away, police said.

Bakiev was charged with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, rape, robbery, sexual assault, burglary, false imprisonment, indecent assault and related charges.

Bail was set Sunday at 10 percent of $450,000. Bakiev remains jailed at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 13.

Police described the remaining suspects (pictured above) as white males in their late teens or early 20s. All have dark hair and are possibly of Russian or Central Asian descent, police said.
