9 Shot, 1 Killed; Wanted Suspect IDed Nearly 2 Years After Philly Shooting: Cops
The shooting happened on Independence Day in 2024, authorities said.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA, PA — A wanted suspect has been identified nearly two years after an Independence Day shooting that killed a teen and injured eight others in Southwest Philadelphia, police said Wednesday.
Police identified Naseem Sills, 19, as the suspect.
The shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. on July 4, 2024, on the 1900 block of S Salford Street, police said.

Maurice Quain, 19, was shot in the head. The Philadelphia Fire Department Medic Unit pronounced him dead minutes later.
Five men, two teenage boys and a teenage girl were wounded, police said. Most of them were shot in the leg or foot, while one man was shot in the shoulder and another victim's head was grazed.

Twenty shell casings were recovered from the scene, including 17 from the same gun, police said.
There's a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the homicide case.
