Shantay Mercedes Watson is an Author, Speaker, and Spoken Word Poet, who is New York born and Pennsylvania raised and operates under the moniker EXHIBIT TAY. No stranger to hardship, Shan-Tay chose not to be defined by the labels of her hardships. Instead, she emerged as an overcomer, committed to transparently sharing her journey through adversity, resilience, healing, growth and transformation. Her mission is to inspire and empower others by BEING THE EVIDENCE that victory is possible. Her debut poetry book, AUDACITY, has become a declaration of courage and her sophomore poetry book, RELINQUISHED For Peace's Sake demonstrates the power of mindset and choice. Shan-Tay has a passion for ministry and a background in Crisis Intervention and Victim Advocacy.
Angel Hogan is a poet and filmmaker with an MA in creative writing from Drexel University. She has performed as part of the Black Women's Arts Festival, Literary Death Match, Moonstone Presents, First Person Arts and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Angel is a Black Music City Grantee; her short feature, By Law, By Love: A Documentary about Family, Race, and Identity, was Selected for the First Annual B.PHL Innovation Film Festival. Angel believes in the transformational power of stories.
