Student Chased Down, Attacked In University Building In Philly: Police

Authorities are trying to identify the suspects, who they say are minors.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA, PA — A group of people chased a Temple University student early Sunday and attacked him in a campus building, authorities said.

The unidentified suspects chased the student into the lobby of Morgan Hall South around 2:50 a.m., police said. Once inside, the group struck the student and damaged university property, according to law enforcement.

The student sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Police say the suspects are minors.

Temple’s Division of Student Affairs is actively supporting the victim, said Temple Police Chief Jennifer Griffin.

Temple and Philadelphia police are increasing patrols in the area, Griffin said.

University police shared photos of the alleged suspects on Instagram.
