2 Major Weekend Crashes On Nutt Road In Phoenixville

The incidents left one person hospitalized and strangled traffic in the area.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Two major crashes on Nutt Road in Phoenixville left one person hospitalized and snarled traffic around the area.

The first incident occurred on May 23 at about 5:10 p.m. on Nutt Road between Buchanan and Wheatland streets.

One vehicle flipped over and the driver became trapped, fire officials said. The cause of the crash is not known.

Passerby stopped to help and were able to move the victim from out of the vehicle.

The driver was transported by ambulance to Paoli Hospital with unknown injuries.

The second incident occurred at around 11:18 p.m. near the intersection with Cherry Street.

A vehicle struck a utility pole, causing damage to the pole, officials said.

Nutt Road was shut down until the vehicle could be towed from the scene.

No injuries were reported in the second crash.
