Consumer Alert Issued For Pittsburgh-Area Eatery

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for a bar inside a Pittsburgh-area hotel.
The alert was issued for the Traveler's Tap at Comfort Inn on Gamma Drive off of Route 28 in O'Hara.
An inspection report of Monday revealed an active sewage backup in the breakfast prep, dishwashing area and storage area and part of the main kitchen.

Declaring those areas as an imminent health hazard, the health department stated in the inspection report that no food prep or food service (including coffee making) can take place until the backup has been resolved and the entire area cleaned and sanitized.
