Giant Eagle Offering Shoppers Huge Perks Bonus

PITTSBURGH, PA — Giant Eagle is celebrating its 95th anniversary by providing an enormous perks bonus opportunity for shoppers on Sept. 5 (9/5).

The one-day promotion to mark the anniversary is this: MyPerks customers who activate the promotion will earn 9.5x times the amount of perks at the pump on one qualifying supermarket transaction of $100 or more made at Giant Eagle or Market District on Saturday.

Earning 9.5x can trigger significant savings at the pump. For every $100 a customer spends at Giant Eagle or Market District on September 5th, they will earn the equivalent of at least 90 cents off per gallon of fuel on a future fill-up at GE-affiliated GetGo stores. There is no limit to the perks shoppers can earn in their qualifying transaction, giving them the opportunity to earn a free tank of fuel.

Here's how to take advantage of the promotion:

1. Activate it. Visit GiantEagle.com or the Giant Eagle mobile app to activate the promotion before shopping at Giant Eagle or Market District. The offer is now available for activation.

2. Shop Giant Eagle or Market District on Sept. 5. The 9.5X perks multiplier will trigger when a qualifying transaction of at least $100 is successfully completed using the associated myPerks loyalty card on Saturday at any Giant Eagle or Market District location throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.

3. Redeem your perks. Perks rewards will be available for redemption immediately after the qualifying supermarket transaction is complete. Customers may choose to redeem their earned perks reward either for a discount on fuel purchased at any GetGo location or for a discount on a future trip to Giant Eagle or Market District.

The 9.5X perks promotion is limited to one redemption per household. Additionally, the promotion excludes purchases made at GetGo, in-store Starbucks, and on milk, alcohol, fuel, tobacco, cigarettes, gift cards, prescriptions and any other items prohibited by law.
