The airline’s website shows flights options out of Latrobe to Myrtle Beach beginning in February and Orlando starting in May. Spirit formerly traveled to those locations out of the airport.
News of Breeze's arrival comes after the authority last month announced it was receiving an $850,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Small Community Air Service Development program to provide financing to aid an airline establishing service at the airport.

Breeze also is one of the carriers flying out of Pittsburgh International Airport. The airline recently added three destinations there: Nonstop flights to Vero Beach in Florida, which began Oct. 1, and international service to Cancun and Puna Canta, both of which will begin in January.
