Weather Advisory Issued For Pittsburgh, Western PA

PITTSBURGH, PA — Hold onto your hats today, Pittsburgh people. It's going to be quite a windy day.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Pittsburgh area and all of southwestern Pennsylvania from 8 a.m. until midnight tonight.

Expect gusts of as high as 50 mph.

The weather service warns that gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages could result.

The weather service asks that downed trees, power lines or large branches should be reported by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X @NWSPittsburgh.
