Montgomery Subacute and Respiratory in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., Adds to Clinical Leadership

Montgomery Subacute and Respiratory Center in Plymouth Meeting has appointed Joby Jacob, MD, as medical director and expanded its pulmonary leadership team with the addition of Aloknath A. Pandya, MD. The 60-bed skilled nursing facility, which cares exclusively for ventilator-dependent patients, recently earned its second consecutive national recognition as a U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home 2026 for both short-term rehab and long-term care.

“Montgomery is fortunate to add two more physicians of the highest caliber to its clinical leadership,” said Danielle Koons, regional vice president of market development – Pennsylvania for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Montgomery. “Both Dr. Jacob and Dr. Pandya are well known in the region for their medical expertise and compassionate care.”  

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Jacob specializes in geriatric medicine, hospitalist medicine and preventative care; he is affiliated with First Docs, an independent physician-owned practice. A northeast Philadelphia native, Dr. Jacob earned his medical degree from American Medical University and completed his internal medicine residency training at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. 

Dr. Pandya, who is triple-board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care, is the founder of Spiromedics, a pulmonary and sleep consultancy in Philadelphia. Dr. Pandya completed his internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital, where he was named Chief Resident, and did his fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care at Temple, as well.
