The Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library are happy to share what's happening at the library:

NATIONAL LIBRARY LOVERS' MONTH is here!

LIBRARY HOURS -- FEBRUARY

PLEASE NOTE: Library CLOSED on Monday February 9 for Staff In-Service Day

Mondays: 12 noon to 8:00 pm *

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

Fridays and Saturdays: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Sundays: 1:00pm - 5:00 pm

We may feel frozen solid these days, but just like the soil, there are all sorts of good things happening "beneath the surface" of the Library this month!
We start with a much-needed Blood Drive on Monday, February 2nd. Please click this link to register; if we're full, or you can't make it Monday afternoon or evening, please follow the links through the to list of other Drives nearby.
The recent weather cycles have caused the cancellation of hundreds of drives across the country, and impeded movement of critical blood supplies to where they are needed most. This is a great time to roll up your sleeve for a good cause!
From the book clubs and storytimes that make up our "surface," to the Senior Socials, Movie Matinees, and Connections Memory Cafe that supplement our Adult community of users, we've added special programs this month--plants, teas, and endangered species--as well as the ongoing Winter Reading Challenge for All Ages, to keep the blood pumping this month.
Library Staff need to be nurtured as well, so the Library will be closed Monday, February 9th, for a Staff In-Service Day. No items will be due that day, so please don't leave any outside or on the ground--thank you!
Even Chanticleer Gardens is getting in on the action, with limited weekend openings showing "behind the scenes" as they get ready for this spring. Check the schedule online, then check with the Library to see if our 2026 Pass is available for you to borrow!
And finally, while we LOVE the Library every month, we invite you to stop by the upstairs Check-Out Desk, for a sweet treat, courtesy of the Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library, in recognition of Library Lovers' Month!
Winter isn't over, but that doesn't mean we're frozen in place--get moving to the Library this month!

February is also the month we begin the Friends of the Library Membership Fund Drive.
