Pedestrian, 29, Killed In East Norriton Crash: Police

Police said their investigation is attempting to determine if alcohol was a contributing factor.

EAST NORRITON, PA — A 29-year-old man was killed in a crash in East Norriton Sunday night, authorities said.

The incident occurred Sept. 6 at around 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of West Germantown Pike and Whitehall Road.

A vehicle was headed eastbound on West Germantown Pike when it struck a pedestrian, later identified as a 29-year-old from Lansdowne.

Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol impairment "was a contributing factor," police said.

The victim was taken to Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital by ambulance where he later died.

East Norriton Police were assisted by several local departments on the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
