Plymouth Fire, Ambulance Receive $31,000 In Funding

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Plymouth Township fire and emergency crews have received a major funding boost from the state, officials announced.

The Plymouth Community Ambulance Association will receive $15,000 and Plymouth Fire Company Number 1 will receive $16,137, State Sen. Maria Collett said.

“All of us deserve to feel safe in our homes, at work and in our communities,” Collett said. “We owe that sense of safety to the local firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and other first responders who have bravely answered the call to service. I’m proud to support these grants each year to secure the equipment and training our fire companies and EMS providers need to protect themselves and our communities.”

Several other fire departments and EMS received similar grants around the area.

Funds will be used to improve and manage facilities, buy new equipment, organize training and education, and more.

The funding comes from the state's Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program
