Award-Winning Bakery To Open First Storefront In Wayne
Operating from a home kitchen, the sourdough bread business's subscription delivery services will soon have its own shop.

WAYNE, PA — An award-winning sourdough bakery will soon have a storefront when Wild Yeast Bakehouse opens at the Eagle Village Shops in Wayne next month.
Wild Yeast Bakehouse was founded by John Goncher, who decided in 2019 to shift careers after nearly three decades in finance.
Goncher sought to connect with others through food. Ironically, that opportunity came during COVID-19 pandemic isolation, when the hobby of baking bread boomed.

Using his kitchen oven, Goncher created a business based around creating sourdough bread that would be delivered weekly to subscribers in the local community.
Starting with a handful of subscribers, Wild Yeast Bakehouse now delivers hundreds of loaves per week to homes, restaurants and farmers markets throughout the Main Line.
