Congress, State House Races Set For Radnor: See Who's Running

RADNOR, PA — With the primaries over, the candidate fields have been set for November's general elections.

Radnor voters will be among millions of Pennsylvanians deciding on a governor and State House representatives this fall. Meanwhile, midterm elections across the nation will shape the U.S. House of Representatives.

Most primaries on Radnor residents' ballots were uncontested. But the general election, which is Nov. 3, will be a different matter.

Here are the general-election fields in November:

GOVERNOR, LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

• Josh Shapiro*, Austin Davis* (Democratic Party)
• Stacy Garrity, Jason Richey (Republican Party)

Of note: Richey defeated John Ventre in the Republican primary for lieutenant governor. Both governor races, and the Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, were uncontested.

U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES: PENNSYLVANIA'S 5TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

• Mary Gay Scanlon* (D)
• Nick Manganaro (R)

Of note: The district's electorate became more liberal in 2018, when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court redrew congressional district boundaries in a gerrymandering ruling. That year, Scanlon became PA-5's first elected Democrat since the Nixon administration.

Republicans have held majorities in the House and Senate throughout President Donald Trump's second term.

• Lisa A. Borowski* (D)
• Kathryn Buckley (R)

Of note: The Democratic Party holds the majority in the State House of Representatives, while the GOP has a State Senate majority.
