HBO's 'Task' To Film At House In Delco

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Delaware County will continue to get its closeup when HBO's "Task" films in Springfield this week.

The series, which received six Emmy nominations, will film scenes at a private home on 85 Saxer Ave., according to township officials. Crews will be there Tuesday through Friday.

"Task" follows FBI agent Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo), who leads a task force in the working-class Philadelphia suburbs to investigate a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspected family man. The series takes place in Delco and the surrounding areas.

Season 2 filming has been underway in various parts of the region, including the Llanerch Diner in Upper Darby. The entire season will be filmed in southeastern Pennsylvania, according to state officials.

"Task" is coming to Springfield to film Episodes 5 and 6. The filming itself will take place Wednesday and Thursday, but crews will be setting up Tuesday and clearing the area on Friday.

"Understanding that there are two schools in direct proximity to the shooting location, parking and traffic flow were discussed to best minimize interference to vehicle and pedestrian traffic," the Township said on Facebook. "There will be parking restrictions associated with this event."

The Season 2 premiere date hasn't been announced.
