The closest KFC is at 8140 Ogontz Avenue in the Wyncote section of Cheltenham Township.
KFC has reported both temporary and permanent store closures in recent years, citing factors like chicken shortages, competition, and shifting consumer preferences, with some locations closing due to underperformance.

KFC began in 1930 in a humble service station in Corbin, Kentucky, where 40-year old Harland Sanders began feeding hungry travelers, according to KFC's website.
