Bucks County Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash: Reports
Jason Harvey of Southampton was killed Saturday after a vehicle being towed detached and struck his motorcycle, according to reports.
UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Bucks County man was killed over the past weekend in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, according to a report.
Jason Harvey, 39, of Southampton, was killed on Saturday afternoon after a vehicle being towed became detached and struck him in Northeast Philadelphia, Action News 6 reported.
Philadelphia Police said the crash occurred around 4:13 p.m. on Saturday along the 4000 block of Frankford Avenue in the city’s 15th District, Action News reported.

Investigators said a 2016 silver Ford F-250 tow truck was traveling southbound while towing a 2005 silver Dodge Magnum. For reasons still under investigation, the Dodge became detached from the tow truck, entered the northbound lanes, and collided with a motorcycle operated by Harvey, NBC 10 Philadelphia reported.
Harvey was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead at 4:49 p.m. on Saturday, according to reports.

Police later located the tow truck unoccupied in a parking lot on the 1000 block of East Lycoming Avenue. The operator has not yet been identified, reports stated.
