Junior Day Saturday At Southampton Fire Company

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Southampton Fire Company is holding a Junior Day on Saturday for teenagers interested in learning about becoming a firefighter.

Junior Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the firehouse located at 925 Street Road.

The free event is designed for local teenagers, ages 14-17, who are curious about the fire service and interested in learning more about what it means to be part of the Southampton Fire Company.

Participants will gain hands-on experience and try some of the skills our junior firefighters use, such as pulling a fire hose and hooking up a fire hydrant.

Teenagers will also have the opportunity to meet fire company members, learn about the equipment used by firefighters and get a firsthand look at the fire service.

“We hope Junior Day will inspire the next generation of volunteers,” Fire Company President Mike Lorenz. “Join us for a fun day of discovering if the fire service is right for you.”
