Clammer Missing In NJ Bay From Lower Bucks Co.

The Southampton man appears to have fallen off his boat while clamming in Sandy Hook Bay in New Jersey, authorities said.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — An Upper Southampton Township man has been reported missing after apparently falling off his boat while clamming in Sandy Hook Bay in New Jersey, authorities said.

The missing man has only been identified as a 64-year-old man from Southampton.

New Jersey State Police, who have taken over the search operation, said as of Tuesday afternoon, the man had not been found.

State Police said the man's boat was found at 10:45 a.m. Monday near the SeaStreak ferry dock at the Atlantic Highlands town marina.

The clam boat was found near an area with submerged pilings, and the man was not on board, State Police said.
