Centennial Station Gets $150K Grant For Upgrades

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Centennial Station has received a $150,000 state grant secured by State Rep. Brian Munroe.

Munroe — who represents Warminster, Warrington, Ivyland, and New Britain — recently held a presentation awarding Centennial Station a $150,000 grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.

The grant will be used for improvements to a dilapidated community roadway and to resurface the complex’s tennis and pickleball courts.

Located in Warminster Township, Centennial Station is a 55+ senior community serving many residents who live on a fixed income and rely on Social Security.

"The project represents an urgent need for the community and, under normal circumstances, would have placed a significant financial burden on residents," Munroe said.

DCED funds will be used for road and street work, including, but not limited to, milling and repaving, speed bump installation, concrete curb replacement, stormwater inlet repairs, and the resurfacing and coloring of the tennis courts.

Munroe said the funding will help improve public safety and quality of life for residents in his legislative district.

“Whether you’re a student walking to and from school or a senior relying on local infrastructure, it’s crucial that we invest in maintaining our community for everyone who uses it,” he said.
