Sunshine, Low Humidity Highlight Labor Day Weekend Forecast

The National Weather Service said the holiday weekend marking the "unofficial end" of summer might be the perfect one to get outdoors.

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — After several months of extreme heat and torrential downpours, the three-day Labor Day weekend forecast might be the perfect ending to the "unofficial" end of summer.

Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will see some relief from the recent humidity and warmer temperatures.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly is calling for plenty of sunshine on Saturday with a high of 83 degrees.

Sunday will see low humidity with maybe an isolated shower and temperatures dipping just below 80 degrees.

The Labor Day holiday on Monday might be perfect barbecue weather, or getting outdoors. There will be low humidity and a high of 81 degrees.

  • Saturday — Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. North winds around 5 mph.
  • Saturday Night — Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
  • Sunday Sunny, with a high near 79. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
  • Sunday Night — Mostly clear, with a low around 60.
  • Labor Day — Sunny, with a high near 80.
  • Monday Night — Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
  • Tuesday — Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
  • Tuesday Night — Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.
  • Wednesday — Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
  • Wednesday Night — A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
