WARMINSTER, PA — For over 50 years, the Warminster Spartans Wrestling Club has created a community foundation forged in teaching youngsters the skills of the sport.

Last week, the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors honored the club for its dedicated service to the youth and families of the Warminster community.

In recognition of longstanding support for the club, the Spartans presented recognition plaques to Supervisors Chairman Kenneth Hayes and Supervisor Chuck Heybach.

The club is also actively working to grow participation among girls, in step with the sport’s remarkable recent expansion at the youth level.

Over the decades, the Spartans have grown into a program that families value not only for the sport, but for the sense of community it creates — one where every child feels they belong, regardless of their experience or ability.

The club has been steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that cost is never a barrier to participation.

Township leaders Hayes, Heybach, and State Rep. Brian Munroe have played a meaningful role in the club’s sustained success.

Their generosity over the years has helped fund equipment upgrades and supported the club’s mission of keeping the program accessible to all Warminster families.

“The Warminster Spartans Wrestling Club represents the very best of what youth sports can be,” Hayes said. “For more than 50 years, these dedicated coaches and volunteers have shown up for kids in this community, teaching them lessons that go far beyond the mat. I am deeply honored to receive this recognition on behalf of the Board, and I look forward to seeing the Spartans continue to grow and thrive under their new leadership.”

“It has been a privilege to support the Spartans over the years,” Heybach added. “What this club has built — a true community where every child is welcomed and every family feels at home — is something to be celebrated. I’m grateful for the recognition and proud to be a small part of such an extraordinary program.”

The Spartans have recently welcomed updated leadership, with Kyle Yeager stepping in as President and Lia Yeager serving as Vice President. Tatiana Gallelli continues as Treasurer, and Trish Cornman serves as secretary.

The new leadership team is focused on growing the program, increasing youth participation — including among girls — and continuing to build something the entire Warminster community can be proud of.

Supervisors congratulated the Spartans on more than five decades of excellence and look forward to supporting the club’s exciting next chapter.
