1 Person Shot By 60-Year-Old West Chester Woman: DA

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — A 60-year-old woman has been arrested after shooting an individual over the weekend during an argument, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced.

The incident occurred on Sunday on the 200 block of Chestnut Street in Downingtown.

Detailed circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately understood by authorities.

Debra Dora, of West Chester, became involved in a "personal dispute" with the victim, police said.

The victim's gunshot wound was not life threatening, accordin gto authorities.

Dora was immediately taken into custody by Downingtown Police without further incident.

“All of the evidence available to us supports that this is an isolated incident," Downingtown Police Chief Brendan Brazunas said in a statement. "The Downingtown Police Department is dedicated to ensuring that everyone living in Downingtown Borough remains safe."

Dora has been booked at Chester County Prison after failing to post $750,000 bail. She's been charged with attempted murder and related counts.

A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
