Woman Killed, 9-Year-Old Girl Injured In East Goshen Shooting: DA

EAST GOSHEN, PA — A shooting in Chester County left one woman dead and a 9-year-old girl hospitalized last week, officials have confirmed.

The incident occurred at the 400 building of the Summit House Condos in East Goshen Township on Friday, Aug. 7, at around 11 a.m.

The girl was conscious and able to speak with officers when they arrived, the DA said. The woman was dead when they arrived.

Circumstances leading up to the incident are not yet clear and the investigation remains underway.

A gun was recovered from the scene, police said.

The woman's identity has not yet been released as authorities are notifying her family.

The district attorney's office said there is no threat to the public.
