2 Burglaries Reported In Lower Makefield

Lower Makefield Township Police said the two burglaries took place over the past week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Two burglaries were reported at township homes over the past week, police said.

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department said the burglaries took place on Tuesday and on last Saturday.

Police said a burglary took place in the 1400 block of Heather Ridge Drive at 12:25 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police responded to the report of a burglary not in progress at the location. Further investigation revealed surveillance video from Jan. 9 at 6:19 p.m. showed that two people used a ladder to force entry to a second-floor bathroom window.

Police said jewelry was reported missing. An investigation is ongoing.

On Jan. 10, a burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Prospect Farm Drive at 12:56 a.m.

Police responded to the report of a burglary not in progress at the location. Further investigation revealed that someone forced entry into the residence through a second-floor bedroom window.

Police said a firearm, jewelry, and about $15,000 in cash were stolen. An investigation is ongoing.
