3 Chances Of Snow In Forecast, Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued

There are three chances of snow in the forecast for Eastern Pennsylvania. And no, your calendar is not lying to you. It is April.

It might be April, but there are three — yes three — chances for snow in the upcoming forecast. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for winter weather that's expected as soon as overnight and going through the weekend. Another chance of snow is in the forecast for Monday, April 9.

The first chance of snow is possible overnight Thursday into Friday, the NWS said. Not much will accumulate but it could be enough to cause slippery travel in the early morning hours.

More accumulating snow is possible for Saturday into Sunday, when low temperatures dip into the 20s. "There is some uncertainty with regards to amounts," the NWS said. Current predictions from that agency suggest just about an inch. The Weather Channel predicts one to three inches.

Then on Monday, the National Weather Service says there is a chance of snow in the early-morning hours.

We may finally be out of the woods by the end of next week, however. Temperatures are predicted to rise to the 60s by Friday, according to the Weather Channel forecast.
